Offices within Sean's House (136 West Main Street, Newark DE) and within my Home Office (Elkton, MD).
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC/LPCMH) in the states of Maryland and Delaware and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), EMDR 2.0, Brain Spotting (BSP), Flash Technique as well as Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Level 3 trained. I am also trained in the Alexeander Technique interweaves for DBR. My main therapeutic modalities are Internal Family System Therapy (IFS) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), but I also am trained in and use techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I am neurodivergence affirming and informed. As a former dual sport Division One athlete/team captain, ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist and Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified nutrition coach; my approach to therapy is a holistic one. I am extremely curious by nature and have a strong drive to understand what happens to the brain and body from a neuroscientific perspective. As a result, I can put into words exactly why certain responses are occuring and explain how and why the treatment approaches I use can help. In addition to the advanced training listed below, I spend much of my free time reading to expand my knowledge base and training on my own. Resources I've personally read and found helpful are listed on my recommended reading page.
I have expertise treating those struggling with attachment wounding, emotional dysregulation issues, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Developmental Trauma/Attachment Wounding and resultant dissociative disorders, personality disorders and relational issues. Additionally, I specialize in working with athletes and other individuals looking to enhance their performance or going through injury, mental blocks or other setbacks, as well as those within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
